Elon Musk is moving forward with the foreclosure of a Bel-Air home he sold to filmmaker Jordan Walker-Pearlman and his wife, screenwriter Elizabeth Hunter.
– The couple bought the house for $7 million in 2020, financing it with a $6.7 million loan from Musk.
– The property, previously owned by the late actor Gene Wilder, was sold to them after Musk bought it for $6.75 million in 2013.
– The couple has struggled with payments due to the recent writers’ and actors’ strike, prompting Musk’s entity to file a notice of default as the first step in foreclosure.
– Despite the situation, the couple holds no ill feelings towards Musk, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to own the home. Walker-Pearlman stated they “owe him such a spiritual debt.”
– In an effort to manage their financial situation, they have listed the home for $12.95 million.
Wilder had purchased the home in 1976 for approximately $300,000, which features a kidney-shaped pool and views of the Bel-Air Country Club.
