At the 20th Thunder Valley National, Jett Lawrence triumphed in the 450 class after a competitive day, edging out his brother, Hunter Lawrence. Hunter initially won the first moto, but Jett secured the overall victory by winning the second. Meanwhile, Haiden Deegan continued his successful season by claiming his third consecutive overall win in the 250 class, placing first in the first moto and second in the second.
Jett Lawrence, the defending 450 class champion, overcame injuries from a crash last week to achieve this victory, indicating he pushed through physical challenges during the race. Justin Cooper finished third overall after starting strong in both motos.
In the 250 class, Deegan’s performance solidified his lead in the championship standings and showcased his rising star status. Hunter Lawrence leads the 450 championship ahead of Chase Sexton and Jett Lawrence.
Despite the lack of local qualifiers, Colorado racer Brett Stralo participated in the 250 consolation race, bringing attention to his advocacy for veterans through motocross, emphasizing the sport’s therapeutic benefits for mental health.
